STANDARD DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEES (SDC)
The Standards Development Committees (SDC) consists of an Approval Committee (Industrial Standards Committee on Timber, Timber Products and Timber Structures) and Drafting Committees (Technical Committees/Working Groups) established under the standards development system for the purpose of Malaysian Standards (MS) development.
The ISC consists of a balanced committee established by the Malaysian National Standards Committee (MyNSC) with its specified terms of reference to oversee national and international standardisation activities within the scope defined by the MyNSC. The ISC is responsible to deliberate and approved draft Malaysian Standards prepared by the Technical Committees or Working Groups.
Technical Committees (TCs) are also represented by a balanced stakeholder, established by the ISC with its specified terms of reference to oversee national and international standardisation activities within the scope defined by the ISC. On the other hand, a Working Group (WG) is an ad hoc committee consisting of individually appointed experts brought together to deal with specific task allocated appointed by ISC or TCs.
